Play Minesweeper Online — Free, and No Guessing

Classic Minesweeper with one big difference: every board here is guaranteed solvable by pure logic. A solver checks each board before you see it and throws away any that would force a blind guess — so there is always a safe next move to find. And when you are stuck, a built-in coach shows you a square that is provably safe and explains, in plain English, exactly why. Play right now, free, no download and no account.

How to play Minesweeper

  1. Tap any square to start. Your first tap is always safe and opens a whole region.
  2. Each revealed number tells you how many of that square's eight neighbours are mines. A blank has zero, so its neighbours open for free.
  3. Use the numbers to deduce which covered squares are mines and which are safe.
  4. Flag a mine by long-pressing it (or with the flag toggle, or right-click on desktop). Flags are just notes — they never end the game.
  5. Reveal every safe square to win. Reveal a mine and it's over.

What makes these boards "no-guess"

In ordinary Minesweeper you can play perfectly and still lose to a 50/50 guess at the end. Here that never happens. Every board is generated, then replayed through a logic solver; if the solver can't finish it without guessing, the board is discarded and a new one is dealt. The result is a pure puzzle: if you lose, a safe move existed — and the post-game review will show you which one.

The coach that explains itself

Most "helper" sweepers just flash a symbol at you. Ours talks. Tap 💡 Coach and it finds one square that is provably safe, rings it in gold, and tells you in words which nearby number proves it — for example, "R4C6 is safe: the 1 at R3C6 already touches a flagged mine, so its other neighbours are clear." You learn the pattern instead of just being handed the answer.

Frequently asked questions

Is this Minesweeper game free?
Yes — completely free in your browser, no download and no account. Your best time for each board size is saved on your own device.
What does "no-guess" mean?
Every board is checked by a solver before you play it. If finishing it would ever require a blind guess, that board is thrown away and a new one is dealt — so a logical next move always exists.
How does the coach work?
Tap Coach and it finds a square that is provably safe, rings it, and explains in plain language which nearby number proves it — so you learn the pattern, not just the answer.
How do I flag a mine on a phone?
Long-press a square, or turn on the flag toggle at the bottom-left and tap. On desktop you can also right-click. Flags are only notes and never end the game.
